Priyanka Chopra has announced a new Hollywood film with five-time Grammy Award winner Celine Dion. The film, tentatively titled 'Text For You’ also stars Sam Roland Heughan. Heughan is a Scottish actor who is best known for his role as Jamie Fraser in the Starz historical drama series Outlander.
Chopra shared the news on Instagram and wrote, “So excited to kick start this amazing movie with such incredible people! Jim Strouse, Sam Heughan, Celine Dion. It’s my honour. Let’s gooooo!”
Reportedly, the film is inspired by the 2016 German-language box office hit SMS Fur Dic. The film will be directed by Jim Strouse. He is an American screenwriter and film director.
According to Deadline, the film is about a woman who starts sending text messages to her late fiance’s phone, in an effort to come to terms with his death. Later on, she learns that the number has been reassigned to another man, who is dealing with a similar situation. In the English language remake, Celine Dion’s music will give the two the courage to move on from the past and explore the new relationship.

Priyanka Chopra's upcoming films
Currently, Chopra has several Hollywood films in her kitty. She has two Netflix original films - We Can Be Heroes and The White Tiger. She is currently in Berlin to shoot for her upcoming Hollywood film Matrix 4 along with Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Neil Patrick Harris.
Chopra recently signed a multimillion-dollar deal with Amazon, that allows her to produce a variety of content, in different languages. She already has three projects in development at Amazon- Sangeet, a reality series based on the pre-wedding ceremony; Citadel, a thriller produced by the Russo brothers; and Sheela, the biopic of Maa Anand Sheela.
Recently, she shared an Instagram post commemorating the 20th anniversary of her Miss World crowning moment. She posted an IGTV that showed her family’s reactions to her winning the title at the age of 18 in 2000. She gained global recognition upon being crowned Miss World. You can read more from here
Chopra’s memoir Unfinished is scheduled to be released on January 19, 2021, as well. About her decision to pen the memoir, Chopra had said in an interview with People magazine, “It seems like the right time to introspect on my life, that was my reason for writing the book,” revealing that it took her two years to finish it.”
