Princess Latifa update: After two Instagram public accounts posted a picture of the Princess in a mall with her friends, reports say it wasn't random or accidental, but is related to greater undisclosed developments.
In two separate Instagram posts, which now stands removed, a photo shows Princess Latifa in a Dubai shopping mall. The caption of the same claims the mall to be the Mall of the Emirates (MoE) where she was seen to be spending time with two other women.
The other two women are claimed to be acquaintances of the Princess by some of her other recognised friends.
Princess Latifa Update: Release Of Her Picture
The said post was uploaded in such a manner that does not include metadata and would show the date and time, as well as the precise time and location of the photo while being taken.
However, closed studies of the picture reported so far reveal that it was taken after May 13, 2021, as the background shows a cinema advertising the film Demon Slayer: Mugen Train which was released shortly.
According to a BBC report, the release of the image is not random or accidental. It might hint towards other undisclosed developments.
Free Latifa campaign group co-founder David Haigh said, "We confirm that there have been several potentially significant and positive developments in the campaign. We do not intend to comment further at this stage, a further statement will be issued at the appropriate time."
Even the London embassy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) restricted itself from commenting further on requests for comment on the same. However, it has told the BBC that they are awaiting "convincing proof of life in the case of Latifa".
The two other women in the post which says "Lovely evening at MoE with friends", denied making any comment on information related to the princess.
Kenneth Roth of the advocacy group Human Rights Watch told a British News firm that the picture is enough proof of the fact that Princess Latifa is alive.
"Assuming that the photo is genuine, it shows proof of life," he said, " but nothing about the conditions of her confinement or her freedom."
