Princess Eugenie Congratulates Harry and Meghan On Arrival Of Lilibet Diana

Princess Eugenie has joined the family in sending congratulatory wishes to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after the arrival of their baby girl, Lilibet "Lili" Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.

Princess Eugenie took to social media as she wrote on her Instagram story on Sunday, 6 June, "Congratulations dear cousins … we couldn’t be happier for you all." Princess Eugenie had the same image of the couple that the Sussexes presented on Valentine's Day on the announcement that Meghan was pregnant with their second kid. Princess Eugenie wrote shortly after the arrival of the newest member to the royal family, Lilibet Diana.

Princess Eugenie and Prince Harry have reportedly been close for a long time. Princess Eugenie is at present is living at Frogmore Cottage where the Sussexes resided before moving to the US, with her significant other Jack Brooksbank and her firstborn August.

In a post to the Royal Family Twitter account, the Queen said she is "delighted" with the information on her eleventh great-grandchild, Lilibet. The statement read as, "Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the birth of Lilibet Diana! The Queen, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted with the news. Lilibet is Her Majesty’s 11th great-grandchild."

Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor has an older brother Archie who is two years old. Lilibet was born at 11:40 am in Santa Barbara, California on Friday 4 June. “She weighed 7lbs 11oz. Both mother and child are healthy and well and settling in at home,” an official statement read.

The statement said that Lili is named after her great-grandma, her Majesty the Queen, whose family epithet is Lilibet. Her centre name, Diana, was picked to respect her late grandma, the Princess of Wales.
