Actress and producer Anushka Sharma, who is pregnant with her first child, took to her Instagram account on Tuesday and shared a throwback photo in which she is seen pulling off a headstand (Shirshasana). Sharma performed the asana with the support of a wall and her husband and cricketer Virat Kohli, who is currently in Australia for the ODI series. In her post, the actress wrote about how she was continuing her yoga routine during her pregnancy. She is all set to become a mother in January 2021.

Talking about practising yoga while being pregnant, Sharma said, "As yoga is a big part of my life, my doctor recommended that I can do all such asanas that I was doing before I was pregnant barring twists & extreme forward bends, but of course with the appropriate and required support."

In the photo, the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actress is seen standing upside down. "For the Shirshasana, which I have been doing for many years, I ensured that I used the wall for support and also my very able husband supporting my balance, to be extra safe. This was also done under the supervision of my yoga teacher Eefa Shrof who was virtually with me through this session. I'm so glad I could continue my practice through my pregnancy."
Last week, Sharma returned to sets to complete her pending shoots in Mumbai. In an interview, she revealed to ETimes that she is also gearing up to get back to work after delivering her child. The actor who had a phenomenal year as a producer with OTT projects such as Paatal Lok and Bulbbul said that she will “establish a system at home that ensures I can balance time between my child, home and professional life. Meanwhile, Kohli recently opened up about his decision to take paternity leave amidst India’s tour of Australia. He revealed that he will only play the first test match of the Australia series and will return to India to be with his wife. “I wanted to be back home in time to be with my wife for the birth of our first child and it is a very very special and very very beautiful moment in our lives and something I truly want to experience,” the Indian skipper said.
