Uttar Pradesh Class 10 topper Prachi Nigam, who was ridiculed for her facial hair, shared a heart-touching message to women, as she underwent a 'glow up'. Amidst the harsh social media trolling, several public figures and supporters vied for her success. One such kind soul was Anish Bhagat, a musician and content creator best known for wholesome content. In his latest video, he travelled to Mahmoodabad to meet the teenage girl and show his support in person.
Prachi Nigam's Message For Women
Anish Bhagar vlogged his experience travelling to meet Prachi Nigam and sharing a warm message with her. "Today I am travelling to Mahmoodabad to meet someone we should all be proud of," he said in the video.
The journey commenced with Bhagat catching a flight and then a car to reach the small town where Nigam resides. When he got there, Nigam greeted him with a big, chirpy smile, while Bhagat gifted her a flower.
He congratulated her on the achievement of succeeding with the first rank among over 55 lakh students and recalled the incessant bullying that she underwent when she made headlines as the state topper.
The teenager faced a slew of comments about her facial hair, taking the attention away from her success. Nigam told BBC in an interview, "I think it would have been better if I had gotten fewer marks and not topped the exam."
To help her feel better, Bhagat decided to give Nigam a glow-up (Gen-Z lingo for a makeover). "Let's get her to look like her best self!" he said in the video. Cue a montage of Nigam getting her hair, makeup, and nails done.
The Grand Reveal
Viewers were excited to see Nigam's transformation. Finally, the teenager turned around for the grand reveal, radiating confidence and joy. "I look the same!" Nigam said, owning her usual charm.
Bhagat and Nigam stunned the netizens as they revealed that the "glow-up" was no glow-up at all! The girl then shared an impactful message with all women who struggle with accepting themselves just the way they are.
"Dear women, don’t try to fix something that was never broken," Prachi Nigam expressed.
Ashish Bhagat has garnered praise from netizens for his warm gesture. He titled the video, "This is for anyone and everyone filled with insecurities and who has been waiting for a glow-up. You all deserve to treat yourself a little better."
