Mysuru gangrape suspects: The Karnataka police has got a important lead in the Mysuru gangrape case as they have identified four suspects who are students of a reputed engineering college, as per reports.
According to a report by IANS, the police have now found four suspects in the case. They are students of a 'reputed' engineering college in Mysuru. The police also obtained tower locations from the crime spot which confirmed the suspects' presence in Mysuru on Tuesday.
A college student was allegedly raped by a group of goons on near Mysuru city when she was going on a trip with her male companion. The goons reportedly asked the couple for money, after they could get it they attacked. The survivor and her male companion were both admitted to a local hospital for treatment. As per reports, they are now in a stable condition.

When the police tried to reach the suspects, they were reportedly not found. On reaching their college, the police found that the four students did not attend an examination that was scheduled for Wednesday this week. As per reports the alleged rape took place on Tuesday.
Mysuru gangrape suspects:
As per the police officials, the four students might have committed the crime and disappeared after it was reported in newspapers and television. Out of the four suspects, one of them is from Kerala and one is from Tamil Nadu. The special team formed for the case is reportedly on their way to the two states to inquire about the students.
The Home Minister Araga Jnanendra is expected to make a major announcement in the case during a press conference scheduled shortly.
The Case So Far:
As per media reports from August 26, the police had recovered liquor bottles from the crime site. They special investigation was then inquiring at the nearby liquor shops in search of the culprits.
The Home Minister of Karnataka came under for his remarks against the survivor and her friend. He blamed the duo for being out on the road at 7 pm and said that they should not have gone there. He also made a joke out of the incident as he blamed congress of politicising the case when he said, "The rape happened there (Mysuru) but the Congress is trying to rape the Home Minister. They (Congress) are gaining political mileage out of the incident. This is a heinous act and under humanitarian circumstances, they should be demanding early detection of the case. People are watching and they will decide."
