India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked citizens of India to impose a janata curfew upon themselves on Sunday March 22nd. He warned of spread of coronavirus if people congregate across common public spots, markets and other locations. For this janata curfew, Modi asked people to stay home entirely from 7 am to 9 pm on Sunday. This appears to be a mock drill to get the nation ready for a possible crisis in the future in the way of spread of coronavirus.
- Nation under janata curfew on Sunday 7 am to 9 pm to show resolve and restrain against coronavirus
- All citizens are requested come out in their own balconies with whistles, tambourines or spoon and plates to celebrate those who are tirelessly working to provide for essential services
- All citizen must show restrain in stepping out
- People above 60 and children must not leave the house at all
- Do not hoard or do panic buying, the supply chains are working
- The govt has a plan to ensure supplies of medicines in case needed
- We need to postpone any non critical operations, surgeries
- Everyone must work from home, stay at home.
- We should be sensitive to wage workers and labour in these times when businesses also may see impact.
PM Modi makes a very valid point- DO NOT take this coronavirus situation lightly.
