StartupIndia is a comprehensive action plan to provide support to startups. More than 70 million loans have been transferred to Women Entrepreneurs, the Prime Minister said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated Global Entrepreneurship Summit. While addressing the gathering, he said women empowerment was vital to the development of the country. He said many high court’s have women chief justices. He said Hyderabad was home to three Indian sportswomen– Sania Mirza, PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal.
The summit is being held for the first time in South Asia. It brings together, leading investors, entrepreneurs, academicians, think tanks and other stake holders to propel the global entrepreneurship ecosystem: PM Narendra Modi.
