English actor Phoebe Waller-Bridge is all set to join the Indiana Jones 5 for the lead role against Harrison Ford.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge is an English actor, writer, and producer. She is known for her work in the BBC tragic comedy series Fleabag. She has also featured in Time Magazine's Top 100 influential people of the world in the year 2020. Waller-Bridge has also contributed as a writer towards the upcoming James Bond movie No Time To Die.
The Emmy winner Phoebe Waller-Bridge is now all set to star in the Indian Jones movie franchise against Harrison Ford as the female lead. Lucasfilm made the announcements officially on Friday. Sharing his excitement director James Mangold said that he was thrilled to start a new adventure. He also said that it was his dream to work with the filmmakers who are all-time great.
Indiana Jones director James Mangold said in a statement about adding Waller-Bridge to the team, "Steven, Harrison, Kathy, Frank, and John are all artistic heroes of mine. When you add Phoebe, a dazzling actor, brilliant creative voice, and the chemistry she will undoubtedly bring to our set, I can’t help but feel as lucky as Indiana Jones himself." Director James Mangold has taken over the directing this time from Steven Spielberg who will still be seen as the producer of the movie.
The movie is being produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, and Simon Emanuel. Indiana Jones 5 is expected to release in Cinemas on July 29, 2022. And now with the return of Harrison Ford in the franchise, John Williams will also be seen again composing for the upcoming movie.
