Pebbles, the world's oldest dog, according to Guinness World Records, has passed away at 22. According to a press release, she passed away naturally in her home in the United States. Pebbles was crowned the title of the oldest dog in the world by Guinness after she was found to be older than the previous title holder, a 21-year-old chihuahua dog called TobyKeith.

1. A Toy Fox Ferrier breed, Pebbles was born on March 28, 2000, in Long Island, New York. Bobby and Julie Gregory, citizens of the United States became her dog parents and were with her until her last day.

2. In 2007, she moved with her family to Taylors, South Carolina, where she spent the remainder of her life happily.

3. According to a statement released by her family, Pebbles had 32 puppies in her life with her companion, Rocky. She and Rocky spent a great partnership until Rocky passed away at 16 in 2016.

4. Pebbles was a 4-pound happy dog who interestingly enjoyed country music, tried new foods and loved being pampered like all dogs. She also had an interesting wardrobe collection with unique outfits, a lot of photos from which were shared on social media.

5. The family shared how the love they received from Pebbles was unmatched. "It has been said that she gave us more than we could give her, no statement couldn't be truer. She encountered everyone with compassion and affected all our lives lovingly," read the statement. "

6. Pebbles' veterinarian placed her on a cat food diet in 2012 as it's higher in meat-based protein than the usual food dog.

7. On May 17, The Guinness World Records declared Pebbles as the world's oldest after her owners contacted them realising that the oldest dog at the time was 21 and Pebbles surpassed that age.
