Pearl V Puri On Rape Allegations: Actor Pearl V Puri has finally broken his silence over the controversial charges of rape and molestation of a minor. The actor who is currently out on bail took to Instagram and penned a long post putting up his side of the story. In his post, he said that it has been a 'gruelling' couple of weeks for him.

He also shared the news about the death of his grandmother and father and revealed that his mother is undergoing treatment for cancer. In the post, he said that he was "made to feel like a criminal" overnight and that it shattered his sense of security, making him helpless. Puri thanked his friends, fans and well-wishers for keeping faith in him and said that he trusts in law and God.

About Pearl V Puri's Case

Pearl V Puri was arrested by the Waliv Police on June 4 in the case of rape and molestation of a minor and was charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. However, he was granted relief from judicial custody after 11 days of the arrest by a Vasai court.

Several celebrities from the industry like Ekta Kapoor, Karishma Tanna, Divya Khosla Kumar among others came forward in his support. While the mother of the minor girl spoke in the support of Puri, her father alleged that her daughter mentioned her ordeal to him accusing Puri of rape.

As per reports, the minor's father said that she reported the matter and it was confirmed through a medical examination that she was speaking the truth. The parents of the minor girl are reportedly in a custody battle for the child.
