Payal Rohatgi Arrested For Threatening Her Society Chairman: All About The Case

Payal Rohatgi Arrest: Actor Payal Rohatgi courted yet another controversy as she was arrested by Satellite police in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

According to reports, Rohatgi was arrested after she publicly threatened to kill the chairperson of her society. This is not the first time that Rohatgi has landed herself in trouble. Earlier, her twitter account was suspended two times because of the abusive content posted by her.

• Dr Parag Shah, a resident of Payal Rohatgi's society reportedly filed a complaint against her with police after which she was arrested.
• The complaint was in connection with a social media post, which has been deleted now, in which Rohatgi allegedly threatened the chairperson of her society. She had also allegedly passed abusive remarks against the chairperson in Whatsapp groups.
• She is also accused of getting into fights with other members of her society. Dr Shah alleged that Rohatgi threatened to break anyone's leg who argued with her over a common playground. She also reportedly threatened to file false cases against the members of her society.
• According to a report by DNA, the police had started to medical tests on Rohatgi including that of COVID-19.
• Rohatgi was arrested in 2019 as well by Rajasthan police when she had used derogatory remarks against former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.
• Rohatgi reportedly crashed a society meeting on June 20 where she was not invited. When she was asked to speak, she allegedly started to hurl abuses at other residents.
•  On Thursday, Rohatgi made a cryptic social media post in which she wrote, "I know I am being used to fulfil an agenda by certain people who themselves don’t want to do the dirty work, but I am going with the flow even though I know I am being trapped as God has a plan for me which none of these powerful people can even touch. Om Namah Shivay (sic)."
