Pakistani citizen Seema Haider, who illegally entered India to live with Sachin Meena, was seen hoisting the national flag with her family in Noida as the nation celebrated its 76th Independence Day.
In a video that went viral on social media, Seema Haider and Sachin Meena were seen hoisting the tri-colour Indian National Flag on Sunday as a part of the "Har Gar Tiranga" celebration at their home in Uttar Pradesh’s Greater Noida.
Pakistani Woman Celebrates Independence Day
Haider was seen wearing a tri-colour saree, donning a patriotic headband, and chanting slogans, "Jai Mata Di," "Bharat Mata Ki Jai," and "Vande Mataram."
It was also reported that Haider was offered a role in a Hindi film during the occasion. However, she clarified that she turned down the offer.
Seema Haider, who hails from Sindh province in Pakistan, got connected with Sachin Meena while playing PUBG, an online game between 2019 and 2020. Eventually, the duo began talking on WhatsApp and Instagram before falling in love with each other.
Haider entered India illegally with her four children on a bus through Pakistan on May 13. She was initially arrested but was granted bail on July 7 by a local court.
The couple now lives in the Rabupura area of Greater Noida, where Sachin Meena runs a provision store.
Indian Woman Celebrates Pakistan Independence Day
Meanwhile, Anju, who had gone to Pakistan to live with her longtime Facebook friend Nasrullah on July 25, was seen celebrating the country’s Independence Day on August 14. Anju, who had travelled to Pakistan on a month-long visa, had gotten married to Nasrullah.
Anju, who hails from Rajasthan, is now staying at Nasrullah’s home in the Upper Dir District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The 34-year-old woman’s husband said that they weren’t divorced yet and that they had a 15-year-old daughter and a six-year-old son.
In a video shared on social media, Anju was seen cutting a cake along with Nasrullah, celebrating Pakistan’s Independence Day. The room was decorated with Pakistan’s flag, and people were singing and clapping.
