No one really thought that Paatal Lok would become what it is today when the digital series was released two years ago. The show has simply gone from strength to strength, and now that we are nearing two years since it was released on July 29, 2017, there's still no official news about season 2 being in the works. But there was an update from the creator himself who says he was currently working on a second part to it.
The craze for OTT content has been ever-growing, since it first hit the Indian market. Now with that craze almost coming to an end with many channels shutting down, the new wave of digital content is once again climbing up the popularity charts. One of those shows was Pataal Lok, which first aired during the time when there was a lockdown on television and web series were yet to see any success.
With an international story line, Pataal Lok was one such show that paved the way for future shows like Sacred Games and Ghoul. In an exclusive interview, Jaideep Ahlawat revealed that he would love to return to Pataal Lok and reprise his character Hathiram Chaudhary once more.
Jaideep Ahlawat will be next seen in ZEE5's mini-series, Bloody Brothers. He will be portraying the character of Ram Mehar Singh alongside Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub. The web series also stars Seema Pahwa as Priya. Produced by Applause Entertainment in association with BBC Studios India, it marks the third collaboration between ZEE5 and Applause Entertainment following the successes of Sui Dhaaga: Made In India and Hum Saath Saath Hain Hindustani.
