Time and again, Zelenska has chosen her Instagram feed to be filled with what the people of Ukraine are doing to resist the war. She has, in her previous posts, been talking about the contribution of women in the war and their role in either combat, medical assistance or everyday job.

Recently, Zelenska penned an open letter to the global media, "I Testify..." She wrote about people who are in need of emergency medical attention and the cancer patients in the country whose chemotherapy and radiation therapy has been indefinitely delayed."

Sharing about the travesty of war in Ukraine with the world, Zelenska wrote in her letter, "Our roads are flooded with refugees. Look into the eyes of these tired women and children who carry with them the pain and heartache of leaving loved ones and life as they knew it behind. The men bringing them to the border shedding tears to break apart their families, but bravely returning to fight for our freedom. After all, despite all this horror, Ukrainians do not give up."

Slamming the Russian invaders on Ukrainian soil, she wrote, "When Kremlin propagandists bragged that Ukrainians would welcome them with flowers as saviours, they have been shunned with Molotov cocktails."

Zelenska also thanked the citizens of cities under siege for coordinating and helping those in need and people who kept essential services like pharmacies, stores, public transportation and social services ongoing. She acknowledged the humanitarian aid and the neighbouring countries which opened their border for women and children.

"...And with this letter, I testify and tell the world: the war in Ukraine is not a war "somewhere out there." This is a war in Europe, close to the EU borders. Ukraine is stopping the force that may aggressively enter your cities tomorrow under the pretext of saving civilians," she added.

Concluding her statement, Zelenska wrote, "We will win. Because of our unity. Unity towards love for Ukraine. Glory to Ukraine!"
