Odisha FC Coach Stuart Baxter Fired:  Indian Super League side Odisha FC has dismissed their English manager Stuart Baxter after he remarked about rape in a post-match interview. His team lost 1-0 against Jamshedpur FC on Monday.

Following the match, the 67-year-old former South Africa national team coach told Star Sports, “You need decisions to go your way and they didn’t. I don’t know when we’re going to get a penalty. I think one of my players would have to rape someone or get raped himself if he was going to get a penalty.”

After this offensive analogy about rape, the club apologised for the interview. They soon released a statement on Twitter saying, “The Club is appalled at the comments made by Head Coach, Stuart Baxter during the post-match interview today. It is completely unacceptable whatever the context and does not reflect the values of the club. We, at Odisha FC, unreservedly apologize and the club management will handle this matter internally.” Odisha FC Coach Stuart Baxter Fired
