Nicole Kidman is having the time of her life. On Tuesday night, the 49-year-old actress gave a motivating speech about defying ageism in Hollywood. She was there to collect an award for the Best Film Actress at the 14th Annual British Glamour Awards held at the Berkeley Square Gardens in London.

The event was hosted by Absolutely Fabulous’ Jennifer Saunders.

The other winners that night were Bridget Jones' Baby director Sharon Maguire, who won the Best Filmmaker Award. Jennifer Hudson was named as the magazine’s Trailblazer. Model Jourdan Dunn was chosen as the top entrepreneur. Catastrophe creator Sharon Horgan won Best Comedy Actress award.

After receiving the award, Nicole in her acceptance speech said that age is no bar. Eonline.com, quoted her saying,

“I want to tell all the women out there—it is not over at 40. It is not even over at 50. I'm going to take this as a birthday present—I'm about to turn 50 in two weeks, and I never thought this would be one of my best years."

She also paid homage to the victims of London Bridge terror attack. Oscar winner Nicole dedicated her award to Sofia Coppola, who became the first women in fifty-six years to win Best Director at Cannes Film Festival.

Nicole got her first big break 34 years back in the year 1983 when she starred in an Australian thriller called "Dead Calm" opposite Billy Zane.

She further said,” I'm changing my name to Nicole Kid-woman,' Nicole declared. 'Kidman is just wrong here,' she said, referencing the magazine's 14th Annual Celebration of Women.”

The year 2017 so far has been a memorable year for the actress as she took the female lead in Oscar-nominated Film - Lion. The movie is about a five-year-old boy who gets lost in the streets of Calcutta and is later adopted by an Australian family. Nicole was also nominated for the Best Supporting Actress along with Dev Patel, who was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor.
