Netflix Drops Docuseries About Infamous Cecil Hotel Crime Scene

Cecil Hotel: Netflix dropped a new crime docuseries named Crime Scene: The Vanishing At Cecil Hotel on February 10.

The series is about the real-life mysterious death of a college at Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles, USA. Viewers in India were able to stream the new show after Wednesday afternoon. 

What is the Cecil Hotel crime docuseries about? 

For a long time, the said Hotel in Los Angeles was infamous for being a temporary home to serial killers. What really added to its reputation was the death of Elisa Lam. 

In 2013, Elisa Lam, a Canadian college student came to Los Angeles and decided to stay in Cecil Hotel. She was later reported missing and her bloated body was found in a water tank on the roof of the hotel. The officials had later ruled that she died from drowning and that she was suffering from a personality disorder. However, her death has always been a subject that intrigued people and ultimately sabotaged the rich and high-class image of the Hotel. 

After her death, many murders took place in the hotel and it was dubbed as the death hotel. The Netflix docuseries will possibly try to unravel the mystery behind the incident. 

The series has been directed by Joe Berlinger, the director of popular Conversations with a Killer: Ted Bundy Tapes.
