Actress Nehha Pendse will now replace Saumya Tandon as Anita Mishra in television's hit comedy show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!, as per a News18 report. In August last year, Tandon said that she was quitting the show and soon there have been several reports making the rounds about who will be the next Anita Bhabhi, the character Tandon played in the show. After a four-month search, the role has finally been given to Pendse.
Reportedly, in late September last year, there were rumours that the makers had approached Pendse for the role but she had shut down such speculation saying, "No, I have not been approached for Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain to play Gori mem. So I am not doing the show. I would love to reunite with Benaifer Kohli but I am not doing the show." Now her role in the serial has been confirmed.

Saumya Tandon on her exit
Soon after Tandon quit the show, she had shared a video on her Instagram page with a heartfelt note. "End of a beautiful journey. The way we part show how strong our relationship was. These are some moments to cherish all my life, my small note for every single person on the unit," she had written thanking the cast and crew members.
Earlier, in the interview, Tandon had said that her decision to suddenly quit was “impractical” as she was leaving a stable job in an “established” show. She was a part of the show for five years. However, she also mentioned that she was not going to renew her contract with the comedy show. She had explained, “Being employed and earning a regular income was not exciting enough any more. I want to do projects where there is scope for growth as an artist.”
Calling Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain! as her “comfort zone” Tandon had reflected saying, “I will miss the entire team of ‘Bhabi Ji…’, but I have to push myself out of my comfort zone and take new risks in life.”
