Veteran actress Neetu Kapoor reportedly tested positive of COVID-19, along with actor Varun Dhawan today. The two were shooting for an upcoming film called Jug Jugg Jeeyo. Their co-stars from the film Anil Kapoor and Kiara Advani have however tested negative.
According to India Today, the shooting for the film has now been halted, and apart from Kapoor and Dhawan, Jug Jugg Jeeyo's director Raj Mehta too has tested positive for COVID-19.

In November Kapoor had shared a post on Instagram about embarking on her first flight during the pandemic to shoot for this very film. "My first flight, in these scary times !! Nervousss for this journey !! While Kapoor Sahab, you aren’t here holding my hand, I know you are with me .. #RnR thank you for encouraging me to do this," she captioned the picture.
"We are all Covid tested and safe, hence removed mask while taking picture," she had added to her post.
On the occasion of Diwali, Kapoor had shared a picture with her co-star Anil Kapoor from the film's shoot. "New experiences, everyday !! A very different Diwali this year, but grateful for how loved you are all making me feel Happy Diwali to one and all, let’s spread the light of joy and positivity," she wrote.

She had also shared another picture from the film's set revealing that she was back to shoot a film after a gap of many years. Neetu Kapoor wrote, "To new beginnings and the magic of the movies. I feel YOUR love and presence. From mom, to Kapoor Sahab, to Ranbir always being with me .. now I find myself all by myself, feeling a little scared, but I know you are always with me."
Neither Neetu Kapoor or any member from her family has confirmed her diagnosis so far, either to press or on social media.
