On Thursday, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) announced the examination date for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) PG 2021 on its official website. According to the schedule, the NEET PG examination will be conducted in computer-based mode on April 18, 2021, at various centres spread across India.
Aspirants seeking admission to the postgraduate medical courses must complete the internship on or before June 30, 2021, and should also meet the other required eligibility criteria.

NBE, while announcing the NEET PG 2021 date, also stated that the board might amend or defer the NEET PG exam date if there are any unforeseen exigencies. However, this would be in consultation with the NMC and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. NBE also said that the information regarding the NEET PG brochure and NEET PG 2021 application form will soon be released soon at nbe.edu.in and natboard.edu.in.
NEET PG is conducted every year for Master of Surgery (MS) with 10,821 seats, Doctor of Medicine (MD) with 19,953 seats and PG Diploma with 1,979 seats at 6,102 institutions. Similarly, NEET MDS is conducted for admission to 6,501 seats - 50 per cent for all India quota (AIQ) and 50 per cent for state quota in participating institutions.

Eligibility Criteria For NEET PG 2021
- Students applying for the exam must have a recognised provisional or a permanent MBBS degree certificate. It should be issued by an institute which is recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
- Having a provisional or a permanent registration certificate issued by the MCI or State Medical Council is also mandatory.
- Aspirants must complete their compulsory one-year internship on or before June 30, 2021.
Examination Pattern For NEET PG 2021
The mode of the examination will be computer based with 3 hours 30 minutes duration. There will be 300 multiple choice questions with four alternative responses for each.
