Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Niece Accuses His Brother Of Harassment, Files Complaint

Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s brother has been accused of allegedly sexually harassing his niece. The actor’s niece has lodged a complaint at the Jamia police station in Delhi claiming that she was sexually abused at the age of nine. In addition to this, she pointed out as a child she didn’t understand it, but when she grew up, she realized it was a different kind of touch.

Sexual harassment

While talking to the Times of India she said, “I have filed a complaint about sexual harassment by my uncle when I was nine years old”. She went on to say that “ My parents were divorced when I was two years old, so I had a stepmother. I was tortured a lot. As a child, I didn’t understand thinking it was my uncle, but when I grew up I realized it was a different kind of touch. There was violence too”.

“Nawaz bade papa once asked me what I want to do in life, I told him all that was happening and that I felt mentally disturbed. But he said there is nothing like that.”

Nawazuddin did not support her

She also said that when she tried to confide it to the Kahani actor, he didn’t stand by her. Instead, his reaction to this accusation was “chacha hai, aisa kabhi nahi kar sakta (he is your uncle, he can’t do this).”  She said, "I thought that at least bade papa (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) would understand, he lives in a different society and would have a different mentality." She also opened about how after having a court marriage her in-laws are being harassed.

She said as per the report, “ Even after my marriage, my father and Nawaz bade papa was also involved, filed false cases to harass my in-laws.If they would have been strict then this would not have happened. They never believed me. Even now every six months my father files some cases and I am sure he will do something after my complaint too. But I have got a lot of support from my husband for this. I have the proof of all the physical violence, which I had sent to my husband.”

Nawazuddin’s niece who currently stays in Delhi with her husband added, “Nawaz bade papa once asked me what I want to do in life, I told him all that was happening and that I felt mentally disturbed. But he said there is nothing like that.”
