Navneet Rana And Arvind Sawant Controversy: Navneet Kaur Rana, the independent MP representing Amravati, Maharashtra had a serious warning in store for Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant.
Rana said that she would take police action against him after Sawant had allegedly threatened her for raising the Sachin Waze issue in the Lok Sabha. Earlier, Rana had written to the Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, about the same.

- Rana had alleged that Sawant had threatened her in the Lok Sabha lobby by saying "Tu Maharashtra mein kaise ghoomti hai main dekhta hoon aur tere ko bhi jail mein daalenge (I will see how you roam in Maharashtra, and will put you too in jail)." She then claimed that she had received acid attack threats from the Shiv Sena's letterhead and also over the phone.
- "The way Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant has threatened me, it is not only my insult, but the insult of all the women of the country. Hence, I demand strict action against Sawant," she said.
- BJP MP Rama Devi has supported Navneet Rana's allegations. She said that Rana had earlier told her about the threats she had received.
- However, Arvind Sawant refuted these serious allegations and said that her body language and way of talking are inappropriate. "Why will I threaten her? If there were people present near her at that time, then, they can tell if I threatened her. Her way of talking and body language is wrong," Sawant said.
- In the Lok Sabha, Navneet Rana was vocal about demanding a probe into the suspension of API Sachin Waze. She raised questions on Waze's reinstatement to his post. She also stated that when the BJP government was in power in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena's Uddhav Thackeray had asked the then CM Devendra Fadnavis to reinstate Waze. However, Fadnavis rejected this demand. "When the Thackeray government came, they reinstated him. All this needs to be investigated properly,'' she added.
- Besides Navneet Rana, many BJP leaders slammed the Shiv Sena for supporting Sachin Waze. BJP MP Rakesh Singh was amongst the many leaders to do so.
- They have also demanded the resignation of Maharashtra's home minister Anil Deshmukh, who had allegedly asked Sachin Waze to collect Rs 100 crores for him every month from places across Mumbai. These allegations were made by former Mumbai CP Param Bir Singh.
- At the moment, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is investigating Sachin Waze's alleged role in placing an explosives-laden SUV outside industrialist Mukesh Ambani's residence on February 25.
