Nat Sciver And Katherine Brunt Get Married
After being in a relationship for nearly five years, England cricketers Nat Sciver and Katherine Brunt tied the knot on Sunday (May 29). The duo was part of the 2017 England Women's World Cup-winning team at the 'Home of Cricket' Lord's. Former England cricketer Isa Guha via her Instagram page had announced the wedding of the two cricketers.

Sciver and Brunt are not the first same-sex cricket couple to be married or get engaged. Amy Satterthwaite, along with fellow New Zealander Lea Tahuhu, got married in October, while South African pair Marizanne Kapp and Dane van Niekerk are engaged.

Nat Sciver And Katherine Brunt Get Married

They had been dating for four years before and it's not like they rushed into getting married after all. They said that both were already thinking about getting married, so it was not unexpected when Nat asked Katherine to marry her in October 2019. The wedding was scheduled to be held in September 2020 (as per their initial plan). However, because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent quarantine, all weddings needed to be postponed until further notice.

 

Katherine Brunt and Nat Sciver have been playing for England since long and have always shown dedication and performances during their matches. In the recent games, Katherine Brunt played a vital role as she could take four wickets for just 35 runs in seven overs. Nat Sciver batted really well at number 5. She scored 85 runs off 104 balls and was not out till the end of the match.

Australia beat England by four-wickets in the final of the 2022 World Cup at Lord's. Opener Ellyse Perry inspired the home side (125 not out), who batted throughout to lead her team to a winning total of 257/5 in 50 overs, with seven wickets remaining when she was eventually run out.

The Women's T20 World Cup is a limited-over cricket tournament that has been held since 2016. The ten teams involved in the tournament have played one match against each other, with their points from these games contributing to a final table and ranking the teams from 1st to 10th. As of 2018, Australia has won three titles and made four appearances in the finals of this event.
