Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written a letter to a girl from Chhattisgarh, thanking her for a sketch she drew of him at a public rally in the poll-bound State. Akanksha Thakur, a school-going girl, received a letter from the Prime Minister on Thursday, expressing gratitude for her support and wishing her well.

Praises and blessings galore
The Prime Minister wrote in his letter that India's daughters have a bright future for the country and added that his vision is to make the country abound with safety, facilities and opportunities. He further thanked the people of Chhattisgarh for their contribution to India's development and progress.
PM Modi also wrote that the next 25 years would be important for the young generation, especially girls like Thakur, to carve a new path for the future of the country. He then wished Thakur to bring great success and pride to her family and society.
During Prime Minister Modi's election rally in Kanker, Chhattisgarh on Thursday, Thakur grabbed his attention with a sketch she drew of him held above her head. He then asked the young artist to write her address on the back of the drawing so he could write to her.

The first phase of state assembly elections in Chhattisgarh is going to be conducted on November 7. Addressing the ‘Vijay Sankalp Maha rally’ in Kanker, PM Modi said that his resolve is to strengthen Chhattisgarh's identity and protect the interests of the poor and backward people of the State.
