Naked man chases female rickshaw driver

According to the latest reports, Nikhil Ashok Memzade, 30, hired an autorickshaw from MagarpattaCity to Katraj Ghat during the night on Monday. The autorickshaw was driven by a female driver.

At around 10 pm, when the autorickshaw reached the Katraj area, Memzade asked the driver to stop and invited her for dinner at the nearby hotel. When the woman refused to dine with him, he allegedly slapped her and took off all his clothes. The woman told the police that she ran as soon after he removed his clothes and demanded sex from her.

Memzade did not stop when the woman ran away and instead chased after her demanding sex again. The woman managed to escape the spot and later rushed to the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station nearby. The police booked the man under IPC'S section 354, which is assault with intent to outrage a woman’s modesty, and under section 354A which indicates sexual harassment.

Similar incident

Another case of harassment took place in Pune a few months back when a food delivery agent molested a girl by forcibly kissing her. In September, a 40-year-old was arrested by the Police after he molested a teenager during the time of food delivery at her home in the Yewalewadi area. It was reported that the delivery agent asked the girl for a glass of water and upon realising that she was alone at home, he pushed himself on her and forcibly held and kissed her. The girl loaded a complaint against him and informed her neighbours, after which he was taken into custody.
