My 600-Lb. Life fame Gina Krasley died on August 7. Although the cause of her death hasn't been confirmed as of now, Krasley's family stated in the obituary that she passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Krasley was featured on the eighth episode of My 600-Lb. Life in the year 2020. The episode documented Krasley's efforts to lose weight. Having joined the show weighing more than 600 lbs, Krasley lost over 50 lbs during her time on the show.
Krasley's family said on Saturday that Krasley was a passionate dancer and dreamed of opening up a dance studio for special needs children one day. They added that Krasley would make up dance routines with her sister and children in the neighbourhood growing up.
Krasley recently started a TikTok trend which she named "dancing has no size limit". She encouraged people of all weights to post a video of them dancing to the social media platform in the same.
She had also recently posted videos on social media about health struggles that had made her immobile with severe pain in her extremities.
Krasley joined the TLC series that narrates the lives of obese people undergoing gastric bypass surgeries and in the same. She revealed feeling guilty of the pressure her obesity was putting on her wife Beth.
She later featured in another episode titled Time is Running out for Gina and the same garnered over 1 million views on YouTube.
In the introduction of the clip, Krasley admitted, "My life’s been hard, I always felt my entire life like I was just pushed under the rug."She added that eating made her forget the pain of being abandoned and by the time she was 10, she was already over 150 pounds.
“As I was getting closer to 500 pounds," she added, "it started to get harder to do things."
