Mumbai girl Jemimah Rodrigues, who recently made headlines by scoring 202 in an Under-19 One-day tournament, has been selected in India A team’s limited overs home series against Bangladesh.
A senior and women’s team with two members from the Indian World Cup team -- pacer Mansi Joshi and second wicketkeeper Nuzhat Parveen -- are included in the squad, which would be led by Anuja Patil.
Jemimah is now the second woman after Smriti Mandhana to score a double-hundred in 50-over cricket
Patil will take up the skipper's position for both formats of the game - ODI and T20. The series is set to have three ODIs and T20I matches. But before they take on the visiting Bangladesh A side, a couple of practice matches will be played in Alur.

The very versatile girl has also played hockey and if you someday see her practising with guys above her age, don’t be surprised. “I was the center-forward of my school team, St Joseph’s, and have played nationals for the Mumbai and Maharashtra junior hockey teams,” Jemimah told Hindustan Times.
