A 21-year-old woman agreed to "get married and play wife" to a man for five days. However, the small-time actor was in for a shock when the groom fell in love with her and refused to let her go. The police had to be called in to put an end to the marriage drama.

The woman had agreed to the marriage proposal through her friend Ayesha and her husband Karan. She was offered Rs. 5,000 to play wife to a Madhya Pradesh-based man for five days.

Mumbai Woman Trapped In Marriage Drama

1. On March 12, the woman went along with Karan to the Mandsaur village bus stand in Madhya Pradesh, where she was introduced to the man, Mukesh.

2. Mukesh, who took an instant liking to the woman, had a discreet chat with Karan.

3. Karan had told the woman that she would have to get married to Mukesh and pay his wife in front of his family for five days.

4. According to the agreement, the woman tied the knot with Mukesh at a temple in the presence of Mukesh’s family.

5. After marriage, she moved in with Mukesh and played homemaker for five days. On the sixth day, when she told Mukesh that the marriage drama had to end, he claimed that he had seriously fallen in love with her and refused to let her go.

6. He also claimed that they had a genuine marriage and that he had paid Karan for it.

7. When the woman called Karan, he seemed to be very reluctant and evaded the questions.

8. Realising that she had been trapped, the woman secretly called a friend in Mumbai, who informed the Dharavi police station.

9. By the time the police reached Madhya Pradesh, both Karan and Mukesh had escaped. The police brought the woman back to Mumbai and asked if she had been sexually assaulted, which she denied.

10. The police are currently searching for Karan, Ayesha, and Mukesh.
