Mumbai Rape Case: In a shocking incident reported from Maharashtra, a 32-year-old woman was allegedly raped in Saki Naka.
Her genitals were reportedly brutalised with an iron rod. She succumbed to the injuries on Saturday. One accused has been arrested in the case.
The office of Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray gave their statement to ANI on Saturday. They said that CM has asked for the case to be taken on fast track. The investigations are also to be accelerated.

Mumbai Saki Naka Rape Case:
As per reports, the police received a call around 3:30 AM on Friday morning when they were informed about an unconscious woman lying in pool of blood in Khairani road at Saki Naka in Andheri area. The accused identified as Mohan Chouhan allegedly raped the woman inside a parked vehicle. The police reportedly found bloodstains inside the vehicle.
The woman was then take to a hospital i Ghatkopar where the doctors reportedly said that an external object was inserted inside the woman's private parts. Her condition was critical, she passed away around Saturday noon, as per a report by ANI.
According to a report, the deceased woman was homeless. A watchman on Khairani road claimed to have witnessed the assault on her called the police on Friday. The accused was then arrested after the police went through the CCTV footage.
The accused is to stay in police custody till September 21. He has been charged under the sections of Indian Penal code including murder. Since the woman was in the condition to record her statement before her death, the police lodged an FIR based on the statement given by the watchman, as per reports.
The CCTV footage recovered by the police reportedly showed the accused man stabbing the woman with a rod multiple times and raping her. The accused then placed the woman inside the vehicle and fled the scene. The doctors at the Rajawadi Hospital in Ghatkopar had raised concerns about her condition.
As per reports, the woman's mother said that she was a mother to two children and was married. Before her brutal rape and murder, she had left home due to some arguments.
