By now you might be wondering who is Naomi Janumala? Well, she is a 19-year-old Mumbai girl who is the face of Rihanna's luxury label Fenty campaign. This Indian model is born and raised in Mumbai, and started her career as a model almost three years ago. Rihanna’s luxury label Fenty promotes diversity and it starts with Naomi.

Naomi is one of the top Indian faces in the modelling industry and has previously worked with international brands like Alexander Wang, Adidas, H&M, Nike x Nordstrom, Levi’s, American Eagle, Opening Ceremony x Disney and Matthew Adams Dolan, to name a few. While speaking to Vogue Naomi shared her experience of working with Rihanna. She also shares about her personal style, as she is now breaking the Internet with her persona.

Naomi, who is the niece of famous Hindi film actor Johnny Lever, took to Instagram to share the big news, captioned the cover and a BTS video where Rihanna can be seen lensing Naomi. It reads: “FENTY CAMPAIGN RELEASE 6-19! DIRECTED and SHOT by Rihanna herself (yeah read that again) and let me tell u, she’s the best hype man ever and prolly the best person to hang out on set with, also swipe for some BTS on CCTV footage whooop @fenty @badgalriri congratulations and thanks for having meee head over to Fenty's website to see more! Xoxo”. (SIC).

Naomi’s father Jimmy Moses is a comedian too who we can recognise from the movie Soorma.

Sharing a picture with Rihanna, Naomi posted, “Worked worked worked worked worked worked she said to me, Yaasssss girlll give it to me!!” with the best @badgalriri and it was an absolute pleasure.”

“When I first met Rihanna, we hugged, and the first thing she asked me was, ‘Where you from?’ When I told her I was from India, she screamed, ‘I knew it, I knew I wanted you! You’re so gorgeous, it’s annoying, I don’t even want to stand next to you! Ahhh!’” remembers Naomi adding, “I can’t even believe it sometimes that she said all of that to me.”

“She told me how some of her clothes and earrings were inspired by a sari and jhumkas,” says Naomi.

“If not a model, I’d definitely do something in the creative field, probably acting, photography or interior designing,” Naomi claimed.

“I wish I could show you videos of how excited and dedicated she was while shooting. We clicked so well. Every time we got the shot, she would ask me, ‘Where have you been all my life?’ Everyone in the production team asked me if Rihanna and I had known each other before,” she laughs.

The 31-year-old Singer Rihanna is now officially the world’s highest paid female in the music industry, according to Forbes‘ annual list of America’s Richest Self-Made Women for 2019. Rihanna has an estimate worth of $600 million, thus topping the list as the highest paid woman in the music industry. Her wealth went skyward after her lucrative partnership with luxury good company, LVMH, and collaboratively she launched her Fenty Beauty cosmetics line in 2017, which generated more than $550 million in its first year. Her last studio album “Anti” came out in 2016.
