A recently surfaced video has created quite a stir across social media platforms. The video shows a cop dancing with a woman inside the Mumbai local train. What happens next has the netizens debating over boundaries and the mania that is Instagram reels.
The video shows a home guard standing inside the local train, who then starts dancing with a woman while she is making a video reel. Soon after the video went viral, the GRP booked the cop filing a formal report against him. The official in question has also been suspended for his act and was summoned for an explanation by GRP for engaging in an impromptu dance session with a woman commuter instead of looking to safeguard the safety and security of the commuters on the train.
Cop Suspended For Dancing With Woman For Reel
The Government Railway Police (GRP) promptly acted on a video surfacing viral on the internet depicting a Mumbai police cop engaging in an impromptu dance reel with a woman on duty inside the moving local train.
The video is reportedly from December 6 in which the cop can be first seen instructing the woman purportedly to move aside at a safe distance from the gates of the local train. But later, as the woman mistakenly stumbled upon him, after failing to give her a stern look, the cop began dancing with the girl.
The video was uploaded by the Instagram user and as the video has several cuts, the veracity of the incident depicted in the video cannot be confirmed. However, the charged cop, SF Gupta can be clearly identified as engaging in the dance video.
As the video shot up on the internet going viral, many users flacked the cop on duty engaging in such activities while others seemed to have enjoyed taking it "sportingly". However, the viral video soon caught the attention of the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) official account and tagged the RPF to take a probe into the incident.
As the matter soon escalated to RPF taking note of it GRP filed a formal report against the identified police home guard SF Gupta and summoned the police personnel for an explanation for his actions.
The police authorities have underscored police personnel have been strictly and explicitly instructed to shoot, pose, or engage in any type of videos and photos and take selfies while on duty and putting on the uniform, aiming to prevent such incidents.
While such cases are rising to be a common trend on the internet where people are seen engaging in dancing activities while travelling in local public transport disturbing the other commuters despite several issued warnings and fines by the government, the participation of a security safeguard and a police personnel has become more concerning.
