In a shocking incident reported from Mumbai's Ghatkopar West suburb area, an ex-army man stabbed his wife to death at home amid a heated argument with her in the morning. The man killed his wife in front of his minor son and later surrendered himself at the police station.
Relationship issues and petty fights can often take horrendous turns leading to some of the most disturbing crimes. There have been many cases in India where couples have harmed themselves while fighting over petty issues like food and clothes. A similar incident happened on March 14 in Mumbai's Ghatkopar West region where a man got into an argument with his wife early in the morning which turned into him stabbing her multiple times using a kitchen knife in front of his 12-year-old son.

Mumbai Ex-Army Man Kills Wife Over Petty Issue
38-year-old Santosh Mistry lived with his wife Namita and 12-year-old son near Ghatkopar West's Asalfa vegetable market. Namita was his third wife and lived with him for the last two years while his son was from his first wife with whom he separated. Mistry took voluntary retirement from his Indian Army job a few years ago citing medical conditions. He then took a job as a BEST driver which he left during the pandemic and was working as a gym instructor these days.
The couple often fought over petty issues but on Tuesday things got out of control. Santosh and Namita both came back home drunk on Monday night and went to sleep. At around 6 in the morning, the couple wakes up and starts an argument over something petty things that get heated. A raged Mistry takes a kitchen knife and attacks Namita.
He stabbed in her chest and abdomen 10 to 12 times in front of his 12-year-old son, who was sleeping in the room but came out after hearing his stepmother scream. After committing the crime, Mistry roamed the streets of his neighbourhood market with blood-covered hands and knife. People saw him but were too afraid to say anything. He eventually reached the police station and surrendered himself. The police reached the house to find Namita lying in a pool of blood and took her to the hospital but she was declared dead on arrival.
