Mumbai Cop Viral Photo: There are some stories that reaffirm your faith in the fact that humanity does exist and there are people who believe in making this world a beautiful place to live in. One such story is of sub-inspector Jayprakash Suryawanshi from the Bandra police station who made a 83-year-old woman's birthday special by his efforts.

Martina Pereira slipped on a wet kitchen floor. She, unfortunately, couldn't help herself and lay there for eight hours as she felt very weak and didn't have the energy to help herself. The security guard, alarmed by the fact that her tiffin box was left uncollected from the doorstep, told the neighbours who unlocked the door, found her and called the police. She was rushed to Holy Family hospital in Bandra by assistant inspector Pallavi Kulkarni, as per a report.

But the most heart-warming part of the story was when Jayprakash Suryawanshi, sub-inspector in Mumbai Police, brought a cake in the hospital to celebrate her birthday.  The story soon went viral on social media and the sub - inspector is being showered with praises for what he has done.

"Exemplary and very humane gesture by Inspector Suryavanshi of Bandra Police station @MumbaiPolice @CPMumbaiPolice. kudos to officers like him who show care and concern for our seniors living alone. Deserves kudos and appreciation", said a Twitter user.

This is not the first time when a cop is in news for his/her humanitarian efforts. Last year, the story of constable Kache Beypi taking care of the baby of a candidate for the Teacher Eligibility Test at Bokajan HS School Centre went viral. Even the Assam Police had shared this picture and wrote, “Mother is a verb. It’s something you do, not just who you are! Assam Police personnel in Darrang district taking care of the lil’ ones, while their mothers write the TET exams.”
