An 11-year-old's mother dies saving her daughter from the attack of a savage boar. The woman was 45-year-old Duvashiya Bai. The name of her 11-year-old daughter is Rinki. The incident occurred in the Korba district of Chhattisgarh. Mother and daughter were hunting soil at nearby farmland when the catastrophe occurred.
"Displaying exemplary courage, the woman fought with a wild boar at Village Teliyamar under the Pasan forest range to protect her daughter," conveyed forest range officer Ramnivas Dahayat.
Duvashiya Bai was digging the ground with her axe for soil when she suddenly spotted a boar making a charge for her daughter. Desperate to save her daughter, Duvashiya threatened the animal with the axe in her hand.
Duvashiya fought the wild boar with her axe for half an hour to protect her daughter. She did manage to kill the boar. However, Duvashiya's injuries from the fight were substantial, and she could not make it.
Little harm came to the 11-year-old child as her mother died fiercely protecting her. Rinki ran to the village to inform everyone of the situation. Immediately after, forest personnel arrived on the spot and sent Duvashiya Bai's body for post-mortem.
A day after a woman died after saving her daughter from a wild boar, over 100 villagers and senior government officials paid respect and attended her final rites.
Mother Dies Saving Daughter And State's Action On Learning It
Rinki was rushed to a government hospital for treatment in Pasan.
Forest range officer Ramnivas Dahayat confirmed the preliminary information on the incident.
Soon after Duvashiya's body was sent for post-mortem, the family was granted immediate financial support of 25,000 INR. Additionally, as for cases of attack by wild animals, a remaining compensatory amount of 5.75 lakh INR will be provided after the completion of formalities.
