The deceased have been identified as Bharti Wala and her mother Champa. According to Bharti's brother, they both left the house early in the morning to get dental work done. Police claimed that neither of the two women had any scheduled procedures or appointments at the hospital where their bodies were found.
The incident, according to police, came to light when a bad smell emerged from inside the hospital, which is located close to Bhulabhai Park and is under the control of Kagdapeeth police station in Ahmedabad. In the hospital's operating room, a cupboard contained Bharti's body.

The Kagdapeeth police launched an investigation after being notified of the incident by the hospital. When a team arrived at the hospital and began reviewing CCTV footage, they discovered that Bharti had been accompanied to the hospital by another woman.
After the police team began searching the area, the other woman, who happened to be Bharti's mother, was discovered dead under the bed of a room on the second floor of the hospital. Police also discovered that the CCTV cameras went off for an hour after the two women entered the hospital.
According to the police, the mother's body had signs of strangulation. The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team also showed up and took samples there. The cause of the two women's deaths can only be determined after the post-mortem reports are received, even though the FSL has stated that they were both injected with something and police believe they were killed by an anaesthetic overdose. In this case, additional investigation is being conducted.
