Nunes, who gave birth to her first child this year, reportedly earned this win over Cris Cyborg, PFL’s Kayla Harrison, and fellow UFC champion Valentina Shevchenko and Weili Zhang. She resumed fighting after becoming a mother with her partner and fellow UFC fighter Nina Ansaroff. She defended the UFC women’s bantamweight championship twice, and the women’s featherweight title once. Although, she had participated in only one fight side of the cage in 2020.

Dubbed as "Lioness", Nunes has emerged victorious in her last eleven fights. The bantamweight queen won her first world belt in the featherweight division in June. She last fought in June when she battered Felicia Spencer and became the first fighter to hold two UFC titles at the same time and also successfully defend both.

Considered the best female MMA star of all time, the two-weight champion also recently openly challenged Jake Paul, a YouTuber who recently beat former NBA champ Nate Robinson, in a boxing match. Earlier this month, Nunes said she was willing to take on Paul and tweeted, “I’m in!”

Paul, however, refused. Nunes is now getting ready for the UFC featherweight title, slated to take place on March 6.
