Mithali Raj has proved her mettle once again as the Captain of the Indian Women’s Cricket Team is now the highest runner in women's ODI cricket, surpassing former England batter Charlotte Edwards' record.

Today on July 12, at the Bristol County Ground, England, Raj played brilliantly, finally making the record, of the most runs in women's ODI cricket.
Edwards had a record of 5992 runs in her ODI career while Raj has last scored 5,959 runs in 182 ODIs played till now. She was just 34 runs short of becoming the first woman cricketer to amass 6,000 ODI runs.
