Missing Teacher Case: The investigation team recently exhumed the decomposed body, reportedly of the school teacher, from an under-construction stadium near the Sunshine School at Mahaling of Kalahandi district in Odisha.

The police team were searching for clues in the case of a missing woman school teacher, Mamita Meher, of the Sunshine School. She went missing on October 8, the police have been investigating the case which took a political turn with oppositions coming into the frame.
It is reported that the police has recovered a body, reportedly of Meher, although the identity of the body is yet to be established. The police have approached the family members for identification. They have also sent the DNA for profiling to ascertain the identity of the body, reported Odisha Tv.
The opposition parties accused the Odisha Government-led by Naveen Patnaik of shielding the school's managing committee president, Gobind Sahu. The allegation came because the Minister of State of Home Affairs, Captain Dibya Shankar Mishra had once shared the stage with Gobinda Sahu and praised him for being an "educationist and philanthropist".
As reported by Sambad English, Mamita Meher is a 24-year-old school teacher from the Turekela block of Balangir district in Odisha. She went missing on October 8.
Reportedly, Sahu was taken for interrogation by the police, after Meher's family refiled a case against him. Meher's family also alleged that Sahu used to sexually harass women employees and force them to be in a physical relationship with him. No charges have been proven and the identification confirmation is yet to be made by the police.
