Teen Files FIR Against Parents ‘settling’ her Rape Case with Convicts

How pathetic as a human being you have to be to strike a deal with your daughter’s rape convicts? A rape survivor from Aman Vihar area of the national capital has lodged a complaint against her own parents for allegedly accepting a sum of Five lakh from the people who raped her. The girl who is merely 15 and was raped last year also wrote in her complaint that her parents accepted the money in exchange for her changing her statement in the court with regards to the rape case.

The parents had struck a deal of Rs. 20, 00000 with accused Sunil Shahi and Chandrabhushan who had abducted and gangraped their daughter in September, 2017. Of the total amount, Shahi had given the first instalment of five lakh rupees on April 8.

Aman Vihar Police had first registered the case of rape when the girl had complained about it and on its basis, the police had arrested both Shahi and Chandrabhushan. They were out on bail when they came to the girls’ house and convinced her parents for accepting money and that the girl changes her statement.

We arrested the girl’s mother. Her father is on the run. We are also looking for the people who were facilitating this crime.

They also saw the girl out on the road and threatened her by saying that they would push her into prostitution and that they can also kidnap her again, she wrote in her FIR.

On April 9, when the girls’ parents had gone to the court and left the money on their bed, she took all the money and went back to the police station to complain about her parents.

The police station has filed the complaint and booked her parents under Juvenile Justice Act and for criminal intimidation, threatening someone to give false evidence and criminal conspiracy.

“We arrested the girl’s mother. Her father is on the run. We are also looking for the people who were facilitating this crime,” the DCP said, HT reported.

Police has handed over the girl to Child Welfare Committee (CWC), who have sent her to a children’s home.
