On June 24, the actor-producer shared on Instagram that she welcomed her third child, a daughter named Anne, back in February. Kaling posted photos of her children, including six-year-old Katherine 'Kit', three-year-old Spencer, and baby Anne, along with images of her baby bump and the trio at the hospital.

"Whenever I veer towards cynicism, my three kids are such a great reminder of the pure joy in my life," she shared.
Kaling also expressed gratitude for her ability to embark on this journey on her own terms. "I’m so lucky I live in a place where I could do this by myself, on my own timeline," she wrote. She concluded her post by thanking her followers for their birthday wishes.
In 2020, Kaling revealed that she welcomed her second child, a baby boy named Spencer, last month. Kaling announced the news during a virtual appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on October 8. She also has a two-year-old daughter, Katherine "Kit" Kaling.
