In a recent turn of events, Trump has declared himself the winner of the 2024 presidential election after Fox News projected him ahead of Democrat Kamala Harris, marking a political comeback four years after leaving the White House.

Earlier in July, Melania Trump condemned the assassination attempt on Donald Trump at a political rally on July 13, calling the attacker a 'monster'. A bystander was killed and two others were left injured by the shocking shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania. After a relatively long silence, Melania Trump spoke up about the attack on her husband saying, "Let us not forget that differing opinions, policy and political games are inferior to love." She then thanked the Secret Service agents and other authorities who stepped in to protect the former President.

Melania Trump's Statement

Melania Trump posted an impassioned statement on her X (formerly Twitter) account, reacting to the shooting that injured Donald Trump. "When I watched that violent bullet strike my husband, Donald, I realized my life, and Barron's (Trump's 18-year-old son) life, was on the brink of devastating change."

"A monster who recognized my husband as an inhuman political machine attempted to ring out Donald's passion -- his laughter, ingenuity, love of music, and inspiration," she wrote. The suspected shooter was identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Melania added in her statement, "I am grateful to the brave Secret Service agents and law enforcement officials who risked their own lives to protect my husband... To the families of the innocent victims who are now suffering from this heinous act, I humbly offer my sincerest sympathy."

The former first lady then shared, "Let us not forget that differing opinions, policy and political games are inferior to love. Let us not forget that differing opinions, policy, and political games are inferior to love. Political concepts are simple when compared to us, human beings."

She further expressed, "American politics is only one vehicle that can uplift our communities... Let us remember that when the time comes to look beyond the left and the right, beyond the red and the blue, we all come from families with the passion to fight for a better life together, while we are here in this earthly realm."

Melania asserted, "Ascend above the hate, the vitriol, and the simple-minded ideas that ignite violence. We all want a world where respect is paramount, family is first, and love transcends. We can realize this world again. Each of us must demand to get it back."
