Meghan Markle Pregnancy: Royal couple Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are going to become a family of four very soon.
The couple announced via representatives on Sunday that they are expecting their second child. "We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child," a spokesperson for the couple told Insider via email.
Another significance of this beautiful moment is that Harry's late mother Princess Diana officially announced that she was expecting him exactly 37 years ago, i.e. on Valentine's Day 1984.
Archie is going to be a big brother - the statement said
The spokesperson of the couple made the public announcement with a stunning b&w photo, remotely via iPad by their friend and longtime photographer, Misan Harriman. In the beautiful photo, a smiling Harry looks lovingly at Meghan, who cradles her baby bump as she lays in his lap.
According to the reports, The Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles and the whole Royal Family are delighted and wish them well, as stated by a spokesperson of Buckingham Palace.
Britain’s Prince Harry and American actress Meghan Markle got married in May 2018. Meghan and Harry welcomed their first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, on May 6, 2019. He will be turning two this coming May. In January 2020, they moved to California after stepping back as senior royals.
When Meghan opened up about her miscarriage
This news comes after Meghan revealed in November last year that she suffered a miscarriage in July 2020. She described it as a feeling of “unbearable grief”and spoke about the couple going through an emotionally traumatic experience.
