The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle joined her husband Prince Harry and Prince William and Kate Middleton and greeted crowds outside Windsor Castle.
Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, Prince William, and Kate Middleton went on a walk around the castle to pay tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II and greeted crowds of supporters and mourners.
They were received warmly by the waiting crowds and accepted gifts and flowers. Markle interacted with the mourners and royalists as the royal couples played tribute to Queen Elizabeth II.
Meghan Markle Greets Crowd Outside Windsor Castle
A video showed Markle hugging a girl while greeting the crowds, the teenage girl later spoke with CNN about their interaction.

She said, “I just wanted to show her that she’s welcome here and wanted to hug her after everything that’s happened.”
Dressed in all black, the royal family members talked to members of the crowd and read the tributes that were left outside the gates. Markle was seen consoling her husband during the walkabout which lasted around 40 minutes.
Queen Elizabeth II Death
Queen Elizabeth II, who reigned for 70 years was the longest-serving British monarch. She died at the age of 96 on September 8 at Balmoral estate, Scotland. Her death was confirmed in an official statement by Buckingham Palace which announced her death.
Queen Elizabeth was the Queen of the United Kingdom and 14 other sovereign counties. She was married to Philip Mountbatten for 73 years until his death in April 2021.
The Queen’s eldest son Charles, became King after the Queen passed away. On September 11, Charles was officially declared the King. He was formally proclaimed as the new sovereign during the Accession Council.
King Charles’ wife Camilla Parker Bowles was given the title of Queen consort and will be the wearer of the Kohinoor diamond crown.
