Meghan And Harry Podcast: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been making headlines since they announced their second pregnancy last week. And it was last Friday that Buckingham Palace confirmed that the couple won't be returning as working members of the royal family.
After two such big news, the couple recorded a 20-second clip and appeared at a virtual Spotify event on Monday to start their Archewell Audio podcast, named after their first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor.
The couple with their 20-month-old son has now moved to their $14 million mansion in Santa Barbara.
Making their first appearance since the two big announcements, in the clip released by Spotify, Markle expressed, "We're using podcasting to drive powerful conversations." Then, Harry continued, "...that inspire, challenge and educate."
"We created Archewell Audio to make sure that we can elevate voices that maybe aren't being heard and hear people's stories," Markle announced. Harry further added, "And the biggest part of this is to create this community where you can share, that will encourage everybody else to then share their own vulnerabilities within that safe space."
Meghan Markle pregnant with second child
On Valentine's Day, Markle and Harry announced they are expecting their second baby, releasing a black and white picture of them under a tree, in a garden. “We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother,” the spokesman said, referring to the couple’s son. “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child.”
The couple, who had also announced last year that they are stepping down from their roles as the senior members of the Royal family, had suffered a miscarriage in July last year. The 39-year-old former actor, Markle described it as a feeling of “unbearable grief” and further spoke about going through an emotionally traumatic experience.
