In January, the world was blessed with a curvy Barbie, a tall Barbie and a petite Barbie. Creator 24-year-old Haneefah Adam is out with ‘The 'Hijarbie’. Her idea was to give this popular doll a look, dressed up the way she herself does.

Last month, Mattel made the biggest change in Barbie's history when it broke the brand's super-skinny stereotype. Now, Adam perused the popular Barbie Style Instagram account and posted many ideas. While asking about the most surprising makeover yet, she reportedly said to Mic, “The hugely popular Barbie Style Instagram got me thinking about how I'd actually like to see a doll dressed up like I would have covered up.”
She said the idea was born about three months ago while she was still studying for her masters degree in the UK. “When I got back to Nigeria, I went to the mall, purchased a doll, dressed it up, documented it and here we are." Mic reported.
Adam currently owns a modest lifestyle brand called Hanie, where she designs the dresses and hijabs herself. "My outfit is featuring Green Jumpsuit Denim long jacket with green threading details. Pearl brooch And a dazzling smile?? #hijarbiestyle," she talked about Hijarbie on an Instagram account which already has over 17,000 of followers.
