Senator Elizabeth Warren is being touted as the face of US President Donald Trump’s opposition. She has been in the news for being unafraid to state her opinions against Trump’s administration. She spoke about her displeasure at the appointment of Attorney General Jeff Sessions during his confirmation at the US Senate last week.
Senator McConnell interrupted her as she was reading Martin Luther King’s widow’s letter on the Senate floor.
She couldn’t be shut down for too long though. "The Republicans took away my right to read this letter on the floor -- so I'm right outside, reading it now," she said in a Facebook live video right after the incident.
I spoke out about @SenatorSessions – until @SenateMajLdr McConnell decided to silence me. https://t.co/qbty7x0iLl

Here are a few things to know about her:
Warren was a law professor for more than 30 years, 20 of which were spent at Harvard Law School.
She grew up in a middle-class family in Oklahoma, and got married at the age of 19. She started teaching in elementary school and her first daughter was born when she was just 22. Her marriage ended when she was 30.
She entered politics after Harvard Law, when she was appointed special adviser to the secretary of Treasury in Barack Obama’s administration. She worked to protect consumers from banks.
In 2012, she ran for the the post Senator of Massachusetts, and won against the Republican candidate, Scott Brown.
She has called Trump a loser, and speaks out about him constantly. At the women’s march, she said. “Yesterday, Donald Trump was sworn in as president. That sight is now burned into my eyes forever.”
In retaliation, Trump refers to her as Pocahontas because she has made references to a Native American heritage.
Her explosive tweets are a rage on social media.
