Women motorbike riders are often told to stay back because the world is not safe out there. Something similar happened to Nikki Misurelli -- known as Alaska Moto Girl on social media -- and what she did to shatter those stereotypes will inspire you to hit the road right away.
For Nikki, solo adventure is all about going vrooming on her bike. But she was strictly warned by an ex-boyfriend that it was ‘too dangerous’, she revealed in an interview with The Independent.
The warning of course did not deter 30-year-old Nikki and, instead, she put on her helmet and travelled across the world on a motorbike. This badass biker proved that there’s nothing women can’t do and that in fact, all the stereotypes are wrongly enforced in society. She has taken her bike on a ride to almost every corner of this crazy world.

Ironically, it was the same boyfriend who fuelled the biking dream in Nikki. When he wanted to go on a bike trip all the way from Alaska to Argentina, she offered to join him. He of course refused saying that a biking trip would be too hard for a girl. Really??
In no time, Nikki broke up with him and has taken up the challenge to go for a solo trip. Now the bike enthusiast is proving to be an inspiration for other enthusiasts.
“A lot of people just assume I’m rich,” she told The Independent. “But it’s not true. I have no house and barely any possessions. I pulled all my retirement money and sold almost all of my belongings. It’s amazing how little we actually need in life.” she said.

She symbolizes a different avatar and has covered 12,000 miles from Alaska to Panama on her modified bike that provides everything she needs.
“I want women around the world to get out there and get travelling,” she said
Nikki, on her non-stop tour, has covered Italy, Spain, France, Gibraltar, Portugal, Austria and Slovenia, and even touched Morocco.
So what lies ahead for Nikki? The biker is gearing up for a trip to either Australia or America.
If you still have doubt and are in a mood of criticizing women drivers, well sure Nikki and all the women riders in the world would give a flying fikar to that.
Big thumbs up to the trailblazer. Nikki, keep the swag on!
