Mayawati Seeks Probe Into Mamata 'Attack'
On Friday, Mayawati weighed in on dialogue around the Nandigram 'attack' against Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, wishing her a speedy recovery. Calling the incident "unfortunate" on Twitter, Mayawati pressed the Election Commission to "take the matter seriously and conduct a high-level inquiry."
The EC has responded to the 'attack' report submitted by the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government calling it "sketchy." TMC leaders have alleged the incident is a "conspiracy" and that a high-level probe must be conducted into it. More here.
