Country singer and musician Maren Morris is in the lead for this year's Academy of Country Music Awards with six nominations. She is joined at the top only by singer Chris Stapleton who received an equal number of nods as her.
Trailing close behind Morris and Stapleton are nominees Miranda Lambert at five, Ashley McBryde at four, Thomas Rhett at four and Jay Joyce at four.
The entertainer of the year category, as has been in the past, is incidentally all-male this year too, with a showdown between Stapleton, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Luke Combs and Thomas Rhett.
Top ACM nominations were revealed Friday on CBS. A telecast of the event live from Nashville, Tennessee will air on April 18.
